He was also part of the communications support team for the Columbia disaster in 2003. Program:Jory McIntosh KJ5RM, the ARRL Assistant Section Manager for the NTX BPL Task Force, will give a talk on BPL. Broadband over Powerlines (BPL) is one of the greatest threats that amateur radio has faced in its entire history. BPL promises to allow rural residents access to high speed Internet, at the cost of extreme interference to the HF spectrum between 2 and 80 Mhz. The BPL industry is claiming that they are interfering, but that it is not harmful interference as specified in part 15 of FCC regulations. I urge everyone to come and judge for yourself if BPL creates harmful interference and what steps we can take to prevent this interference and the loss of our HF frequencies. The real truth will be revealed.  If you love ham radio, you must hear this presentation!

Board Of Directors:The AARA Board of Directors will meet in the AARA Club Room in Bldg 601 (PB7), 601 Data Drive on Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at 5:30 p.m. All interested AARA members are invited to attend
