February Meeting

NETS

The Jonesboro Amateur Radio Club met on February 4th in the Court House Annex. The president brought the meeting to order by leading the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Each member then introduced themselves to the guest by giving name and call sign. Carl and Heather Richardson introduced themselves and joined the club later. Welcome to the club. We enjoyed having you at our club meeting, hope you enjoy the club. We had four officers, four members and three visitors. Ralph reported that he had called Advanced Com on January 29th, 2003 about the Mark IV. It was supposed to be shipped, then we found out they wanted the check first. The check was mailed on February 15th, 2003 so one of these days we will get the Mark IV back. Ralph and Doyle have been checking the Hamtronic repeater and have made some progress. Scott will be going up the tower when the weather is a little more favorable to do the antenna work.

Welcome new members:

WEB PAGE

Carl Richardson is building our club web page. This is at no cost to the club. He already has part of the information and Evelyn is collecting the rest . There may be more to say about this at the March meeting. The address is http://www.qsl.net/w5jbr . There will be more information in the newsletter as it becomes available. I just checked the site and it is up and running. It looks good. More information will be added as we get it to Carl.

This rain and cold won't last forever. (WE HOPE). if your schedule will allow, please attend the meeting.

REPEATER

I talked to Ralph today, February 27th. The Mark IV is closer to home. It was in Little Rock on February 26th. It was supposed to arrive here about 1 PM on February 27th. Ralph is iced in and don't think he can get out of the driveway. Don't know if the Marc IV can make it in or not. Be sure and attend the meeting and get the latest on our repeater's travels.
