W5AOX 6L6GT Breadboard Transmitter

Built circa 1962

The time-honored breadboard circuit. NOTE the high-class leaning toilet paper tube
tank coil form. You can see the power supply, on separate METAL chassis, in the rear.
I only had one crystal, for the 80-Meter Novice CW band.
Whenever I keyed up this transmitter, it totally overloaded the poor
regen receiver, and I could never find my own signal
on the band, since it was "EVERYWHERE!"
When keyed up, I never made a ham contact with it, but I know it did radiate
in some fashion. My Dad would always holler from the living room
"JIIIIIIMMMMMMM!!! Turn that thing OFF!!!!!"
Because it would always tear up his TV reception so badly.
