Conversion of Motorola radios for Amateur Radio use.

Motorola is one of the premier manufacturers of FM communications radios. They were a pioneer in FM communication radio technology.

Anyone working with a Motorola needs to check out the batlabs site: http://www.batlabs.com/

There are no warranties implied or expressed in these conversions. These are guidelines that I have used, but it is up to the person modifying the radio to guarantee no harm will come to the radio.

Motorola Micor 100W UHF/VHF crystal Radio.

Makes a great repeater!

Excellent Motorola Saber  handie talkie. This Saber II has up to 48 channels. A Saber III had 120 channels.

 Moto Maxtrac Mobile

Great remote base radio!

Motorola Syntor X synthesized 32 channel

The 9000 series has alpha channel display.

The 28 to 50 MHz version makes a great 10 Meter and 6 Meter FM mobile rig in one package.

One of my all time favorite HTs, the MX

Above and to the left the Motorola MX-S. Either crystal or up to 48 channels synthesized!

The longest MX-360 at 12 inches long! Made a good club for the cops.

I built a low power repeater out of two of these radios.

The legendary Motorola HT-220. This one is the 'omni' UHF 6 chn version.

In the 1960's and 1970's this was 'THE' radio to have!
