2024 Aug 17	Jarvis Island DXpedition - N5J There have ONLY been 2 DXpeditions to Jarvis Island post WWII. The last operation from the island was 34 years ago. The club worked the N5J DXpedition on 5 bands and 3 modes. All QSOs were made by K3NK using the club's remote station while sitting in his lounge chair at his home 12 miles away.

2024 Aug 14	Shed Cleanup Work Party The shed cleaning went really well. Much easier to get around in there now. As a result of the cleaning there were several excess items identified. Big items, such as PVC pipe, some metal pipe, and miscellaneous items were put behind the club house. We will leave the items there a couple weeks to give members a chance to check it out. After that, we will figure out how to dispose of it.

2024 Jun 20	24 GHz DXing at W3ZGD Steve (K3WHC) and Dave (K1RZ) visited the W3ZGD club site to do some DXing/experimenting on 24 GHz (SHF). Dave set up at the club (FM19RU) beaming 90° while Steve (W3WHC) drove over to KO3T's QTH (FM19tu) and set up beaming 270°. After only a couple minutes of tuning, initially on CW, they made 2-way contact on SSB with very strong signals both ways.

The 80 meter antenna was adjusted to move center resonant frequency down band to provide better coverage across the CW, Digital and SSB bands.

2020 November 2	During the high winds early last week, the portable tower suffered catastrophic failure of 2 legs, resulting in damage to elements of the X7 antenna. The antenna has been removed from the tower and bent sections removed. The tower has been returned to the shed with the broken sections.

2020 October 10	Station work party completed the following: Removed 6m beam from back tower Removed A4S HF beam from back tower Removed G800 Yaesu rotor from back tower Removed coax feeds from back tower Installed two microwave dishes to enable high speed internet Moved internet sector antenna higher on tower to improve reception. The club station is operational The 40m Beam was cranked back up to full height The 80m Inv-V was re-installed and cranked up to full height The X7 sits ready for 10-15-20 (needs to be rotated via Armstrong method). The concrete for the new tower base and guy wire anchors was dug.

2016 Jan	Replaced the 40m beam Orion rotor with a HAM-IV. The HAM-IV rotates from 200 through 15 degrees, but would not rotate the full 360 degrees. Further work is required.
