There are several ways to
enter Amateur Radio
- Take a class:

prepared by the Antietam Radio Association teaching team
- Study guide prepared by Gordo and W5YI
- Cost
- $35 which includes the text and materials
- $20 if you have the text, but includes all materials
- The test fee in 2010 is $15 as set by the ARRL and
FCC, this fee may change in 2011.
- What is our success rate, - so far in using the
weekend class system it is very close to 100%
- Why are these classes so successful - that is easy it
depends totally upon the student's commitment to prior study - our classes are an
intensive review and an opportunity to get your questions answered.
- What can I expect - not a classroom atmosphere, but a
place where you meet friendly hams, get good guidance on good operating procedures,
a lot of encouragement and a comprehensive review.
