ACES serves several different purposes:

  •   Provide support to RACES - that is when an emergency is declared by the Department of Fire and Emergency Service, and we are activated, we work to provide what ever support they feel is appropriate.

    •   Communications to agencies

    •   Communications to Mobile Communications Vehicle

    •   Communications with shelter locations

    •   Monitoring traffic flow or rising water - from a position where we are not in danger

    •   More information about RACES and how to join can be found by following the links to "ACES" and "Served Agencies" on the left side of this page.

  •   Provide support to served agencies when they feel a need for additional communications services. More information can be found by following the "Served Agencies" link to the left.

  •   During special activities

    •     Provide administrative support to special events, especially those that cover long distances.  More information about the specific activities can be found by following the "Activities" link to the left.
