France (Zone 14):   This was my first confirmed contact with France as a Novice (WN3KOC).  George sent the QSL card through the mail.  It is a large card 5.5 by 8.5 inches.  That day, September 6, 1968, I was able to work four European stations on the 15 meter novice band with 50 watts and a low dipole.
