Nepal (Zone 22):   Father Moran was an internationally known amateur radio operator who for many years was the only active amateur in Nepal.  He was a Jesuit priest who spent more than 30 years in the Himalayan kingdom of Nepal.  In 1960 he emigrated from Chicago to Nepal and for a time served as the Minister of Telecommunications.  He became a silent key in 1992 at age 85.

I was fortunate to work him on two occasions.  My first contact was in August of 1975 on 20M SSB and the second was in January of 1981 on 20M SSB.
