DR-135TP Setup

The Alinco DR-135TP is an economical space saving device for use with APRS or packet. It combines a VHF 2-meter radio with an internal TNC. It is a very simple TNC (no mailbox), but it works great for APRS and mobile packet use.

I have used the Alinco as a stand-alone tracker in my car, with a Garmin eTrex GPS, with excellent results. I have also used it in the house as a base station with WinAPRS software and had no problems whatsoever.
