FIELD DAY 2007 PICTURES
FD07 was a 3D operation with two stations operating
HF from a tri-bander and a 160 meter Windom.
The 6 meter station also covered 10 meters and
we also had 2 meter FM and SSB capability.

The SARC club house. From the side you can see the three towers, and from the front door our homebrewed flag.
Yes, we had an American flag too - barely visible at left.

Our tri-band beam at about 40 feet. Note the 2 meter J-pole at the top. Off to the right (and cropped out) is a part of the 6 meter 4-element beam

Left to right: Carl, N1ORW at the 40/80 meter station; Bruce, K2RPM with Carl; Ray, WD1X running 20 meter CW.

Carl, N1ORW and Bob, N1KPR discussing club politics "on the wall" outside the club in beautiful Boothe Park.
Behind Bob is Ted, W1ZQT on his "cellular transmitter" and further back is Charles, N1XKO.
NOTE: Over Carl's right shoulder there is a wild creature preparing to attack him. This is a moment before the final disaster.
However, as the critter was about to strike, Bob, W1CTC snapped this photo - the sound of his shutter scared the beast, thereby sparing Carl's life.
Below is a close-up of the monster!

A big thanks to Bob, W1CTC for being the only ham who didn't forget his camera that day, and for retaining all of this photo-documentation..
