Heidi Martin (previous last name of Chafik) aka Heidi Joy, has a reputation of cheating people out of their money. When working generously with her, giving plenty of time, she historically will not make any attempt to repay her debt even in partial amounts. Heidi will immediately attempt to mislead you with her outrageous and completely baseless, ficticious stories. Stories which paint a picture of 'poor me' and all those other 'crazy people'. You will quickly recognize a bi-polar and schizophrenic personallity.

She has previously operated businesses under the names Toano County Market and The Country Market.Heidi J. Martin One such lender made her a generous loan of $7000 to buy a pick up truck and trailer from her sister in Michigan. She got it during the winter (January 2011) days after the loan was made.

The written loan agreement stated repayment to be made by August 2011. The date was choosen by Heidi since it would be the peak of her business season where the CSA income was greatest. She avoided the lender from that day forward.

On January 2012 she was sued in York County Virginia court (see this PDF). The judgment was against Heidi J. Martin for $7,420 with 6% interest from January 6, 2012 until paid plus $56 in court costs. The judge did not hesitate in the judgment and had very few questions for the parties. Ms. Martin did admit the loan documents and evidence was proper.

Heidi Martin has since made no attenpt to contact or repay the plaintiff (and my friend), Joseph Roth to date (May 2012). A criminal background check of Heidi J. Martin has disclosed there are many charges for bad checks, fraud, a warrant by the Newport News city police, and a larceny charge in 2006 just to mention a few items from a long list.
