Most of the cost is in the sprinkler and trigger valves and pressure gauge. Assembly Notes Read everything, make a plan, think it through. This is not step by step. lots of variations possible. if you have a question email me. read glue instructions areas in bore beyond valve are low pressure, practice glueing there DO NOT GLUE reel holder to end barrel (2+1/2" slip-slip coupler) LET THE GLUE DRY as indicated, at least 24 hours before stressing it. CHOOSE the street 90 U or the regular 90 version. Street 90 is shorter about 1/2 inch Elbow 90 may flow air slightly better?? General glueing plan Glue the linear systems - leave the center part of the U till last. Then glue the two assemblies together and sticky-tape them at the same time to get the spacing just right. Insure sprinkler valve is serviceable - screws should be accessible to remove top. Make sure the Valve is oriented with the flow in the right direction - to bore The trigger can be placed most anywhere you like. I recommend on the right side towared the rear, attached to the 3" pressure chamber up toward the bore. This gives some protection to the paddle. The schrader valve and the gauge should be on the same side as the trigger so the trigger doesn't bump the table while filling. The poly tubing can be cut any length. Attaching the trigger valve may be accomplished several ways. One way is to screw it to the 3" pressure chamber. Predrill small holes, and coat the threads of the screws with some pipe sealing compound (not included). A less intrusive way would be to use double-sticky foam tape and a large tie-wrap. The schrader (tire) valve and gauge are drilled and tapped (1/8 NPT) into the pressure chamber. The best place to do this is where the plastic is double thick, on the forward half of the 3" s-s coupler. Drill, tap, and install them after everything else is done. This tap is tapered, so the depth of tap controls how far the threads go in to seal. Reel The reel is mounted to one of the 2+1/2" couplers with double sticky tape and two hose clamps. Position it as far forward as possible, keeping the reel foot on the PVC. NOTE this coupler should NOT be glued to the barrel. It is to be friction-fitted and removed when desired. Reel clearance - after mounting the reel, layout all the parts on a flat surface. Determine if there is enough clearance for the reel in front of the pressure chamber. It may be desirable to shorten the pressure chamber slightly to allow the reel to be in front of it. Alternately the reel can be positioned at a different angle and avoid the chamber.
