Since the electrical length of a buried wire is quite a bit different from
that of a wire in air, how should this be factored into a junction of a
buried wire and a wire extending above ground? Should the wire segment
lengths be electrically equal or physically equal for greatest accuracy? A
typical application would be a base-insulated vertical radiator operating
over lossy earth and a large number of buried radial wires. To simplify
the model, assume all wires are the same diameter.
