I am simulating an oscillator(a VCO infact) circuit using spectre and hspice. How should I do jitter measurement in such a simulation environment ? I didnot find any material or toolset in Cadence help guide.

Can anyone throw some light on this ?

Thanks and Regards

Shripad

Microwaves and RF Magazine Magazine (www.mwrf.com) has a 2 part
article in january 2001 and Feb 2001 that seems to cover this
material. The author is Boris Drakhlis, the title is "Calculate
Oscillator Jitter by using Phase-Noise Analysis"
