HI! Gary, I have used three point termination for differential PECL but with
a little variance i.e using thevnin termination with 210 ohm to gnd on each
pair. We have gone with thevnin termination because of ensuring that the
receiver is biased correctly which is very imp.

Subject: [SI-LIST] : PECL Termination

I have Differential PECL running at 327Mhz. I have seen thevenin equivalent
parallel, Y variance, diode terminations, but not much on three point
termination - 120 ohm across differential pair and 280 ohm from each signal
to ground. Anybody out there ever use the 3 point topology?
