C - Transmitter IF
If your unit has a .1 μF ceramic capacitor
installed between terminal pins C2 and C4, remove it.
- ALC Input Bypass Capacitor
- C16: Connect a .1 μF Mylar capacitor between
terminal pins C2 (Ground) (S-3) and C4 (S-2) (ALC Input).
- Linear ALC Input Bypass Capacitor

C17: Connect a .01 μF ceramic capacitor between
Linear Input terminal pin C5 (S-2) and solder lug AH
(NS) (Ground).
- CW/Tune Bypass Capacitor
- C4: Connect a .1 μF Mylar capacitor between
CW/TUNE Input terminal pin C6 (S-2) and solder lug AH (S-4) (Ground).
Do not allow the lead of this capacitor, that is
connected to terminal pin C6, to touch the leads
of the .01 μF ceramic capacitor.
- +RX Bypass Capacitor and Delay +RX Slightly
- C1: Connect the positive (+) lead of a 10 μF
electrolytic capacitor to +RX Input terminal pin C7 (S-2).
Connect the other lead to solder lug AH (S-5) (Ground).
D - HFO / Premixer
- Terminate VFO Input
- R22: (R18?) Connect a 22 Ω (red-red-black) resistor
between VFO Input terminal pin D4 (S-2) and solder lug AL
(S-3) (Ground).
- 3.5 MHz Select Bypass Capacitor
- C19: Connect a .1 μF Mylar capacitor between
3.5 MHz Select Input terminal pin D15 (S-3) and solder lug AN (S-2) (Ground).
F - Reciever IF and Audio
- AGC Line Bypass Capacitor
- C18: Connect a .01 μF ceramic capacitor between
AGC 2 terminal pin F8 (S-2) and the indicated solder lug at AP (S-2) (Ground).
- Audio Return from AF Gain Control Bypass Capacitor
- C13: Connect a .001 μF ceramic capacitor between
terminal pins F13 (S-3) (Ground) and F15 (S-3) (Speaker Amp Input).
G - RX Front End
- Terminate VFO Input
- R23:(R19?) Connect a 47 Ω (yellow-violet-black) resistor
between VFO Input terminal pin G4 (S-3) and solder lug
AT (S-5) (Ground).
- 3.5 MHz Select Bypass Capacitor
- C21: Connect a.1 μF Mylar capacitor between
terminal pins G19 (S-2) (Ground) and G21 (S-2) (3.5 MHz Select Input)
K - ALC and Output Filters
- Remove and discard the .1 μF capacitor between terminal pin K5 (ALC Out) and solder lug BJ (Ground).
