Navassa Island is an uninhabited U.S. possession in the Caribbean. It is easy to work from the USA but it is very difficult to obtain permission to operate from there, as it is a wildlife refuge.
This was the most recent operation from Navassa. The operation mainly used two callsigns, W5IJU/KP1 and NF6S/KP1.
Larry Word, NF6S, told me that the photo on the front of the card should
be familiar to anyone who has ever been on Navassa - it is the wire ladder
which must be climbed to get onto the platform which is the access point
to the island.
