DESCRIPTION:

This software is Version 3.2 of the 1225 Series RSS. It supports
the R1225 Repeater, the M1225 Mobiles, and the P1225 portable radios.

This release includes several improvements and fixes relative to the
original 1225 Series RSS.  Details may be found below.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

COMPUTER:
  IBM PC-compatible system, with at least 4 MB of RAM.

OPERATING SYSTEM:
  This software was designed to run on the Microsoft Windows 3.1, Windows 
  3.11, Windows for Workgroups, and Windows 95/98 operating systems.

DISK:
The installation will need to install files in your Windows system directory
(typically c:\windows\system) as well as the specified application directory
(typically c:\mrss\1225). If your application directory is on a different
drive from your Windows system directory, make sure you have adequate space
on both.
	

SPACE REQUIRED:
  Windows System directory       3.2 MB (*)
  Application directory          1.1 MB

(*) This includes several files which are typically already installed on
    a Windows-based system; therefore, the installation may not actually
    use that much space.

INSTALLATION:

Insert disk1 and run A:\setup.exe

What's New!
The following are fixed for the follwing reported bugs:
1) Blank Board Initialization now initializes properly for all supported models.

2) Front panel programming of the RPT EN button to toggle between 
BaseStation/Repeater Mode. See Section "Did You Know?" for details.

3) DPL codes can be programmed correctly into radio. 

4) The "PagePTT" repeater option can be properly assigned to an input pin.

5) When saving to an archive file, the default filename remains when user changes
the drive letter.

6) Printing fix to the Mode Summary report when last channel is set to "Scan" 
which prints a new page w/o showing an error message.

7) QCII(QuickCall) ids are properly saved when programming the radio.

8) The X-Pand feature is no longer automatically selected when chosing 
12.5kHz Channel spacing.

9) New "How Do I..." section in Help.

*...that you can use the RPT EN button to toggle between BaseStation/Repeater
Mode by NOT setting the Operation mode to "BaseStation" and by setting the
Tx & Rx frequencies identical.

*...that the RSS contains an extensive On-Line Help system that can answer
 most of your navigation and configuration questions (including How Do I..)
 quickly and easily.

*...that the RSS saves a list of your most recently read archive files
 that you can easily access from the File menu option.

*...that at any time you can select "Radio Information Summary" (the button
 with the radio and the "i" on it) and get information about the radio you
 have loaded in the RSS.

*...that the RSS now supports the M1225 4 channel mobile
 and the R1225 1-10Watt repeater.

*...that the latest upgrade for the 1225.LS RSS is available on the Dealer
 Support Services website.

*...that you can clone between the old P1225 models and the new P1225
 replacement models.
