The Vigyan
Prasar and NCSTC VHF Ham Repeater station VU2DLR became
operational from the Ministry of Science & Technology campus (New Delhi) on
December 9, 1998. Presently it is being operated on an experimental basis from the
Technology Bhawan with a low antenna height (approximately 45 feet only). The repeater can
be accessed by any licensed ham radio operator operating in and around Delhi. Uplink
frequency of the Repeater Station is 145.00 MHz and the downlink frequency is
145.60 MHz. Effort is on to find a suitable location so as to increase the
area of coverage of this repeater. The repeater operates in Semi-Duplex mode. Most of the
credits for its successful functioning go to Mr. M.B. Singh, VU2MB-an
active ham radio operator from Noida who took lots of pain & patience to get it
repaired. |
