My QTH (location) : I operate from
Munirka Village
locality of Delhi,
the capital of India.
About my shack : I am using Yaesu FT2200,
a 2-m rig with 13.8vdc 10A home brewed power supply and
a dual bander 5/8 lambda antenna.
The height of the antenna is around 60 feets.
This is quite a comfortable height to
have a nice QSO with stations at AGRA (Taj Mahal - 150 km) and
Etah - 175 km during winters.
A good quality RG213 cable connects the rig with antenna.
Never Before 2m DXing :Never before DXing was witnessed
on 17th, 18th, 19th, 22nd,
27th & 28th December 1998. During this period stations like VU2DST & VU3EST
(both
JALANDHER, Punjab - 350KM), VU2ZZA; VU2GNA; VU2SHO (CHANDIGARH and
nereby stations), VU3DJI (LUDHIANA - 190KM), VU2BX; VU2DED; VU2TRI; VU2RNC
(all AGRA- 150KM), VU2OHZ (ETAH - 175KM) and all the 2m stations of Delhi, some of
them are VU3GTF, VU3GFT, VU3RBK, VU3SCD, VU2XD, VU2MSY and VU3RDZ from
FARIDABAD enjoyed the unexpected QSO.
Apart from 2m acrivity I am active on 20m since November 1999.Operating conditions are
one JRC model JSB159 full HF band transceiver with simple dipole antenna.
