It has been drawn to my attention that someone has illegally used my callsign and the name of Hong Kong Amateur Radio Association (HKARA) to collect person information from hams via email.
I have to declare that neither HKARA nor myself has authorized anyone to collect information such as HKID No. and Amateur Radio License No. and ATO No. etc from other hams.
If you receive any calls or email of that nature. To protect youeself DON'T EXPOSE YOUR PRIVACY ! and please report to the police or Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data(P.C.O) Tel: (852) 2827 2827,Fax. : (852) 2877 7026 . I have already reported the case to all relevant authorities.

HKARA's policy in handling personal data strictly comply with the Privacy
Ordinance. We never ask for personal data by email or through internet.
