US RT834 & RT662 HF SSB Exciter

This is the RT834, Exciter part of the GRC106A HF SSB System. Frequency step is 100Hz and with separate control with continuously tuning. The RF receiver front end using 2 6DC6 in order to get better performance for receiving to minimize cross modulation. Band changing is motor drive turret system, from the photo you can see the radio is used plug in modular construction.

The radio has a oven type reference oscillator with stability down to 1 part per million. The weight is about 45 lbs.

Right side is the RT662. Same as RT834, but is 1KHz step frequency control. And with a variable continuously frequency control.
