15,000 QSOs and climbing    (This bulletin released 20/5/00 00:01 UTC - 10:01am Willis time)

WX - The weather at Willis Island has been awful the last few days.  Some of the tents were flooded last night at personnel had to sleep in one of the Met Buro sheds.  Today, Saturday, the heavy showers have decreased to rain, with 30-35 knot winds.

6M - Lots of JAs were worked last night with Hong Kong and VK4FNQ too.

Thank you to JA Operators  - VK9WI are impressed and would like to say a special thank you to the JAs for their co-operation when asked to standby.  You see, JA is very strong on all bands into Willis, and the team are also trying to listen for the weaker stations that may not have as good a path ie; South America, Western EU, & Eastern USA.  When the propagation has closed to those weaker areas then JA will get its turn.

Logs - We hope to have up-dated logs available in the Log Search within 24 hours time.

10M - The team have been working 10M this morning and already have around 20 stations from South America in the log from this morning.

Africa - The team will give some attention towards Africa today.  If you are AF please look for them on 10M at 0600 UTC.  They will be looking for you!

WARC - 18 & 24 will also receive attention in the next 24 hours as the WARC antenna will be coming down during the day tomorrow.

Low Bands - This will also receive attention local tonight.  Comments noted about staying on later for Western EU. (Please bear in mind 1900 UTC is 5am in the morning and there is only one low-band operator working at least 13 hours continuously right throughout the night)

Bump Out - The team have to begin bumping out their Sunday afternoon.  Antennas will have to come down and stations, one by one, go QRT.  We'll advise on tomorrows bulletin what will be going QRT in what order.

Peter, VK4APG - Thank you for all the get well messages for Peter.  He's doing well and flys back from Cairns into Brisbane tonight.  At least he'll have plenty of QSLing to attend to while his leg is on the mend!!!
