WARC Concentration Today

WARC - With the WARC antenna back up the guys will concentrate on 18 & 24 today.  Running 24MHz now (2300 UTC) until approx 0200 UTC.  Operation on 18MHz then approx 0200 - 0800 UTC.

6 Meters - Monitoring all the time on 50.110MHz, and calling frequently.  If there is an opening they will tell you to QSY 50.115MHz and work you there.  Once all station have been worked they will return to 50.110MHz and continue monitoring.

15 CW - Approximately 300 - 400 EU's were worked on 15 CW yesterday.  Hopefully this has taken some of the pressure off this band/mode.

Departure - The team will be leaving Willis Island this Monday. See Bulletin 11 for more detail.

80 M - Please note the Battlecreek Special although working great on 160/80/40 does not tune up around 3.799MHz.  80M operation is limited to CW on 3.503MHz.

CW Spots - .025 is too low for some license classes.  Depending on how things go Sunday they may try to get higher up the bands  so you can have a shot at working them.  This will only occur on the last day, as many have been complaining already about the team not sticking to published frequency schedules, and they are trying to stick to those +/- QRM.

Logs - They are now on-line.  This log contains 7,854 QSOs through to 17-May-2000 1912 UTC.
Please note:   THIS IS ONLY A PARTIAL LOG!    One of the three log portions received was damaged, so if you are not in the log, don't worry until the next update. This log also does not currently contain RTTY QSOs.  The first 200 50MHz QSOs are in a hand written log, yet to be computerised.  Watch this space!

Operating Schedule - A very basic operating schedule has been cobbled together.  Please check the schedule page for further details.

Local WX - A pretty ordinary day today on WIllis.  Rain and very windy.  Temps generally mid 20's (C).
