Logs Updated, 2003 Survey & General Operations

2003 Survey - Have you indicated what entity in OC we should consider activating on our 2003 trip?  Willis Island, The Chesterfields and Kermadec seem to be the most popular choices.  The votecaster link is on the News Index Page.  Have another suggestion?  You could discuss that in the Forum.

80M Phone - The 80M Sigma vertical was shortened for operation on 3.799.

40M Phone Yesterday - There was operation on 40M phone yesterday as announced but nothing was heard or worked!

20M Operation - We were planning to concentrate less on this band, but as the recent flares have come along and degraded the higher bands you still could find us banging away on 20M if 10, 12 & 15M have flat lined!

Fuel Situation - The fuel situation is being reviewed.  If it looks like there will be a surplus to the current forecast requirement then there's the possibility of using the VL-1000 amplifier on HF during the day.  We don't want to have to bring a large amount of fuel back so we'll use it up by running the amp more.
