Delayed Arrival Unavoidable

Wednesday Stopover - A 3m swell and 20-25kt easterly winds resulted in a forced stopover during Wednesday at Sweetlip Reef at the Southern end of the Swains.  These are not ideal sailing conditions and as the cats are heavily loaded with equipment the skippers are taking it easy because team safety is the number one priority.

Thursday night Stopover - Continued poor conditions has meant a stopover tonight only 50 nautical miles further North at East Cay.  As the weather isn't forecast to change much in the short term we estimate at this stage an arrival late Saturday and QRV Sunday.  Watch this space.

left - The Swain Reef group is approximately 100 nautical miles North-East of Gladstone. "X" marks the location of the Wednesday stopover.
