To help co-ordinate our activities, particularly with low-band operation, we have prepared a listening schedule which provides an indication only of how we best utilise our four MF/HF stations for the difficult European and East-coast American paths.  Naturally it is subject to the vagarities of prevailing propagation.

As you can see, up to nine bands are open during 0700 - 1400.  It will be quite a juggling act but we will endeavour to provide a fair balance for all areas.

Comments

1

If the European opening starts earlier or ends later, we will come to this band from a lower band that has more European QSOs.

2

If Europe hangs in later on 17M, we will keep a 4th radio here.

3

If Europe hangs in later, we will stay here and sacrifice NA time on 15/12/10M.

4

If Europe hangs in later, we will stay here and sacrifice NA time on 15 & 30M.

5

Asia/JA is expected to be workable when Europe is open.

We will balance the volume of Asia and Europe QSOs on each band.

6

South America is generally workable when North America is open.

We will accept South American callers during the North American openings due to the lower number of South American stations.

7

Africa is generally workable when Europe is open.

We will accept African callers during the European openings due to the lower number of African stations.

8

If 20M opens to NA before 0500Z, we will move from 10M.

9

This station will work 160/80/40M to balance the North American QSO totals & take advantage of sunrise openings.

10

VK/ZL/Oceania is expected to be workable most of the time on most bands and does not suffer the smaller windows of opportunity that must be exploited for EU & NA.  We will still be looking for you!
