The ASARC Club Room located in the Connellan Hanger (the location of the Central Australian Aviation Museum which is just behind the Araluen Theatre and Art Gallery). We just normally call it "the museum". Equipment ranges from HF through VHF using an ICOM IC-751 HF Transceiver coupled to either a CUSHCRAFT A3 Yagi on 10, 15, and 20; or a multiband vertical for most bands including 40 and 80m. There are several VHF radios: one for local Packet and the other for local FM. ASARC also has a 2m repeater on 146.950 (-) and a 6m beacon. Visiting operators are always welcome -- give us a call or let us know. The picture was taken by Dave Buckwalter, VK8CL, with his Sony Digital Camera. |

The CUSHCRAFT A3 Yagi antenna located n the top of the Connellan Hanger (the location of the Aircraft Museum). There is also multiband vertical to the left of the A3 that is not in view. The view is towards the southwest and the main hanger doors to the museum are to the left of the building. There a Douglas C-47 (built 1942) that had been converted to civilian passenger use, a Beech D-18S, and other aircraft in there. The picture was taken by Dave Buckwalter, VK8CL, with his Sony Digital Camera. |

The former Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) aircraft , a Drover, is just off the east side of the museum complex's parking lot. The museum where the ASARC club is (the hanger in the preceding frame) would be off the right edge of this picture. The picture was taken by Dave Buckwalter, VK8CL, with his Sony Digital Camera. |
