Able Baker Code

The Able Baker Code, named after the first two phonetic words in its alphabet, was used from 1941 by the US military, and 1943 by the British. In 1956 this was replaced by what we now know as the NATO International Phonetic Alphabet.

The Able Baker Code, or at least some elements, is still used by some, mostly USA, radio operators. It is as follows:
