1.  ETSA  MUSEUM VISIT

Collection of instruments from ETSA's Standards Laboratory. Demonstrated by Museum Manager, Max Steen.

Mercury Arc Rectifier.
 415 volts 3 phase to 200 volts d.c. Used from the 1950’s until 1970’s to supply d.c. in the city for existing old lifts etc.

(An effective device, but didn't take kindly to being dropped - Ed).

Galvanometer with large encircling coil. Accurate  Instrument with levelling screws. Circa 1900’s. Owned by Geoff Taylor VK5TY.
