My Four Wheel Drives

Here are my 4 4X4s, as you can see, there is something very similar about 3 of them, this was purely by accident.

I bought them all at separate times, I also were not looking for a 4X4 at the time I bought each one.

Daihatsu

This is my very first 4X4, I love this car, unfortunately it has a bit of rust in it, this thing goes anywhere, bike tracks, large hills, if you can't find a track in this one, make one, it has been known to make trees into firewood.

I have had it for 2.5 years, it is a bit like me, the springs are sagging, the exhaust is falling off, it leaks a lot and it is rusting out.

It is 4 speed, runs a Toyota 12R engine, fantastic Kumho Tyres with plenty of grip, sunraysia wheels, registered.

This car has been sold and is now working on a farm.

Subaru

As you can see, this was my 83 model Subaru Touring Wagon, great little car, found at a garage sale for $1800.

It has full digital dash, power steering, air conditioning and also, electric windows.

Used to love sitting at lights in the wet, people would think it was a Toyota corolla or something similar, pull it into 4 and launch, even in the wet.

This car I have recently sold because I found a very nice troop carrier.

Pajero

This is my girlfriends 85 model Pajero, bit of a story with this one, used to have a commodore, misses and 4 kids between us, needed something with more room, Tarago was the way to go, headed of to Melbourne to find a Tarago for the right price.

Last caryard we looked at had this Pajero, they wanted $6000, we knocked them down to $5000, so really, this is a Tarago in disguise.

Toyota

This is my latest four wheel drive, I sold the Subaru to get this one, comes with front disc brakes, power steering, 2F 6 cylinder engine and a PTO winch.
This car is meant for some serious four wheel driving, If I can't get through an area, the winch gets used.

It runs on gas and has 2 70 litre gas tanks, it also has the normal Petrol tank with it, so all up it holds about 200 litres of fuel.

I will be posting more pictures of this unit as I go along, these will be on another page and will outline trips and areas I have driven into.
