Presented below is a photo exhibition of the numerous homebuilt '29-style transmitters that I have gathered from builders over the past few years. Many of the builders are members of the 'AWAGroup' of builders (see links below) and use these transmitters regularly ... especially during the AWA's annual Bruce Kelley 1929 CW QSO Party, where the chirps, clicks, wind-induced frequency excursions and sometimes surprsingly great-sounding signals from the early days of radio can be heard again.The purpose of this page is to provide inspiration to present builders and those contemplating their first '29-style transmitter project. Hopefully you can find a few ideas from the photographs ... I would love to add your work to the collection as well. It need not be pretty and often the ugliest ones sound the best!
