AGWPE NotesAGWPE is a software based packet engine writen by George Rossopoylos SV2AGW that eliminates the need for a harware TNC. With AGWPE installed on your PC, you can emulate a TNC in software. This allows monitor-only operation with a single sound cable from your rig to the PC, and two way traffic with a simple interface circuit. This type of operation isn't suitable for all situations (e.g. a mobile station, or a stand-alone digipeater) but it can be a good setup for a home station. The monitor-only configuration is an easy way to set up a "try it out" station for new users. Most APRS applications support AGWPE. Download it here.
