08-04-2000 TR-2500 RX IMD Improvement
Author: Trio-Kenwood Communication, inc.

Service Bulletin no. 858 (24-5-1982)

RX intermodulation distortion may be improved by reducing second conversion oscillator harmonic content and level. No adjustments are required. This may be applied to a unit specifically exhibiting out-of-band intermodulation distortion. It is, however, not a general improvement.

On the TX RX unit X44-1460-xx, perform the following changes:

R55 from 47 Kohm delete
C73 47pF to 33pF (CC4SSL1H330J)
C74 100pF 150pF (CC4SSL1H151J)

Add a shield between Q1, (R3, C5) and C73 (from L1 to near X1).

These changes are at the owner's option, and may not be installed in-warranty.
