Welcome to my Picture Gallery Page.
My working conditions are as follows:
FT-102 running 100 Watts for HF
FT-736 for Satellite work
7elm TH7 at 40 feet.
At the moment for lowbands I only have a bottom fed sloper that I threw up in the heat of the WW DX contest last year! This gets me on 40. I have used the beam for 80 during contests! I am hoping to put up a butternut vertical so I can do some serious low band DX-ing.
I have never been a fan of amplifiers and have never owned one. I get too much satisfaction working a new one barefoot through a huge pileup! I miss out on some, but if it was easy then there wouldn't be much point!
For Oscar work I use a KLM 22C and a 48 elm J-Beam for 70cm
I am very new on the birds but can't wait for P3D to fly. My inspiration for getting into Oscar was my good friend Dean VE7RG who passed away in 1999. Dean was third in the world for Satellite DXCC with over 270 countries.
Click on the thumbnails to get a look at the shack and the antennas. I will post more and better quality pictures later. My XYL and I just built the house this year. By the summer I hope to have a lawn! I did look after the important stuff first (Antennas!)
