The Lakeland Amateur Radio Association held a supper at the Lake Country Cottage Restaurant on Monday, February 12, 2007 to present the Community Involvement plaque. The recipient this year was Wayne Thompson VE5DWT for his invloment with music and the many hours he donates to entertain the elderly at nursing homes and also his contribution to various activities of the Lakeland Amateur Radio Association. Congradulations Wayne !!

The Lakeland Amateur Radio Association would like to thank each of you for making our hamfest so great. We raised over $1,200.00 that will go toward local charities. They are the Victoria Hospital Foundation, Lakeland Volunteer Fire Department and the Lakeland Pre-School and Daycare. We presented cheques in the amount of $430.00 to each of the charities in November, 2003.

The Lakeland Amateur Radio Association Annual Field Day 2000! This year the Lakeland Amateur Radio Association teamed up with the Meewasin Amateur Radio Society from Saskatoon on the shore at the Northern Lights Resort at Emma Lake. This successful event was attended by approximately 26 amateur radio operators and their family members. There was plenty of public interest during this event. Some of the amateur radio operators who attended are:

The Lakeland Yard Sale!

The Lakeland Amateur Radio Association held its Christmas Supper on Friday Dec 03, 2006 in Prince Albert at the Prince Albert Inn. The "VE5EB" plaque was presented to Art Peterson, VE5IP as the Outstanding Amateur Radio Operator for Prince Albert and Lakeland Areas. We had 33 people attend and all enjoyed the evening.

The Lakeland Repeater System

Be sure to check out our VHF repeaters. The VE5IOU repeater is located in Prince Albert, Sask. and operates on a frequency of 146.820 - and requires a PL tone of 100hz . This repeater is equipped with autopatch and IRLP "Internet Radio Linking Project" Node #1370 and is linked to the VE5LAK repeater located at Christopher Lake, Sask. The VE5LAK repeater operates on a frequency of 146.610 - . Both of these repeaters are linked by UHF at all times.

The VE5LAK repeater was moved to a new location at Tweedsmere,Sask and has greatly improved mobile/handheld coverage around Emma Lake and surrounding areas.
