Continued training for communication operation modes for ARES Response.  May meeting attended by 10 operators.  Topic was WinLink/Airmail on HF frequencies, as another option to linking to the internet if local phone systems were out of order.
Remaining "mode" to be addressed in June is IRLP.

Plans for a Field Day Exercise continue to be developed.  A site has been offered for our use and plans include most of the modes and bands available, and invitations to area Municipal officials.  Richard - VE3SQT, and Greg - VA3KUG are coordinating.

VE3UGB, one of the local repeaters has received its new controller thanks to Bob - VE3WW, John - VE3UJK, and some anonymous support from local operators.  Up/Down-linking to the ULR system is once again possible.  Initial tests are very satisfactory.

NTS Liason Station - Ken - VA3KEW, 0 traffic to / from ARES group to the OSN and the OPN.   Local traffic = 8 messages.

OBS - VA3KNR - Doug, read 4 Bulletins.

VE3LKI attended a 3 day EMO Seminar on Emergency Preparedness and Response.  It was pleasing to see the esteem that EMO folks have for the support that is provided by ARES groups in the Province.

ARES data updated on local club website and ARES website weekly
