Bob, Do a keyword search for "Cabelas" and "Bass Pro Shops". Both are mail order firms. Some Wal-Mart's (but not all) carry the SD poles in various lengths including 20'. Both firms handle the South Bend SD-20 used in the original St. Louis Vertical project. A competing product called the "Black Widow" has a slightly smaller base tube diameter but also works well. de Dave, NF0R nf0r at slacc.com At 01:25 PM 4/27/02 -0600, you wrote: >Hey Y'all > >I've been trying to find a SD 20 or similar telescoping fiberglass 20 foot >fishing pole similar to those used in the SL Vertical that was popular a few >years ago. The SD-20 is a 20ft pole for about $20.Its clone is the Black Widow you can get from Cabela's for same price or from the manufacturer direct. And then there is a DK9SQ fiberglass pole that is 33 ft at about $99 and a similar one sold by MFJ for $79. Another option is telescoping aluminum from Texas Towers and a 33 ft mast would be about $66 for tubing and shipping. But last summer, as I was asking, I noticed there were about 10 of them BUNGIED to the pole right at the sporting goods counter. No one realized they were there... Mike +++++++++++++++++++
