It's really WAYNE'S mod... I just wrote it up... credit should be given where it's due... I'm not NEARLY that sharp to have thought it up!!! In my case, the capacitor is >10 pF (Pros/Cons??). YUP! Without a doubt, do it! If you're willing to accept a SMALL amount of possible CW degradation, and if you have Spectrogram available, you can tweak L34 to do a pretty decent job of evening up the rolloffs of the USB and LSB filters. If you have the 2nd Xfil SSB mod in place, the amount of required adjustment to L34 will be less, and thus probably less effect upon the CW filter performance. 73 - Tom Hammond N0SS ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ From: "Ron D' Eau Claire" To: "Rick Tilton" , "Elecraft" Subject: RE: [Elecraft] Question on K2 2nd Stage Xfil Mod Date: Sat, 26 Jan 2002 18:28:03 -0800 Rick asked: > My question is how critical is the 120pF cap? There is plenty of room for a couple of caps to come up with the right value. Ron AC7AC +++++++++++++++++++
