Is >this behavior normal? What do you think? The little electret mic I'm currently using on my K2 came from an OLD H-T speaker-mic that I happened to find laying around. It provides ample drive, BUT did not do so until I changed R14 (1K) on the SSB Option board to 10K. This simple mod helps just about ALL mics. Make sure you're using the cap to couple the AUDIO and not the DC. I've seen this done once by accident. Of course, It could NEVER happen to me... heheh!
