Folks, After finding a wiring fault in my K2 gel battery pack installation (battery protection diode wrong way round!) I decided I wanted to see how long my battery would last on discharge. I didn't have the bandwidth to check the K2 voltage every five minutes for 10 hours or more, so I wrote a little graphical voltage monitoring program that would check the K2 voltage every few minutes and sound an alarm when the voltage got too low and to remind me to recharge. I'm sure others might want to use this tool, so I've wrapped a zipped installshield round it and put it at: www.t-wells.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/k2_battery_monitor.zip To use it, you will of course need to have a correctly wired K2/PC interface lead. If you want to try it or test it please download it and let me have your comments. If there is enough interest, I'll ask Elecraft to put it on their website. It is free and there are no licencing restrictions, do what you want with it. Just don't blame me for ruining your gel batteries! Regards, Tony M3CJF G7IGG ++++++++++++++++++
