I've just installed a wireless access point so I can access my main PC/server using my laptop from anywhere on my "estate". My K2 is also connected to that PC, so I'm interested in ways to access it remotely within my own network. I'm really looking for a solution that involves MixW, since the main attraction is in making PSK31 QSOs while reclining in a comfortable chair in the garden. But something that allowed me to hear the audio would certainly be handy. I've heard of people using NetMeeting for this, but that is a fairly resource-hungry piece of software. 73, -- Julian, G4ILO. It just handles the audio - in both directions in the case of SSB. Many people are running web servers behind their firewalls that require this port forwarded to the server. Why not use some high number port like 8080+. Those are usually open, as far as I know. I found it seemed to work well - I used VNC as well with K2S. I think VNC is brilliant myself, especially as it is free, and works on Linux and Unix plaforms as well. Tight VNC http://www.tightvnc.com/ retains VNC compatibility but overcomes most of the lag problems and screen update problems that original VNC has if used at both ends. it's also free, open source & cross platform and comes with a Java client 73 Brendan ++++++++++++++++++++
