Chasing awards is one of Amateur Radio's interesting activities. There are many awards offered by Amateur Organizations around the world. Here are a few that might interest you if you are active on VHF and UHF!

VHF UHF Century Award (ARRL) - This award is presented to any Radio Amateur who provides proof of contacts with 100 grid squares on any VHF radio band in the Amateur Service ie. 50 Mhz, 144 Mhz, 222 MHz or 432 MHz. More details of what's available for the higher bands can be found at the ARRL's website. Canadians can have their cards verified in Canada (see below).

Worked All States Award (ARRL) - This award is presented to any Radio Amateur who provides proof of contacts with all 50 of the US States.

Worked All Provinces (Ontario VHF Association) - This award predates all other awards of this type, as it was created in the 1950's! Details soon. (my thanks to Gus VE3DSE)

Worked 100 Ontario Stations on 144 MHz (Ontario VHF Association) - This award was first instituted in the late 1950's & will be back soon! (my thanks to Gus VE3DSE)

Worked All Continents (IARU) - This award is presented to Radio Amateurs who provide proof that they have contacted fellow amateurs in each of the continents of - Asia, South America, North America, Africa, Europe and Oceania. Info for Canadians can be found at the RAC site.

RAC Canada Award - This award is presented to any Radio Amateur who provides proof of contacts with all 12 Canadian Provinces/Territories.

Note that for WAS and VUCC Awards Canadians can send their applications, cards and award payment (in U.S. funds - Postal Money Order preferred), plus $12 Canadian to cover postage to the U.S. and Express Post return of your cards to Dana Shtun VE3DSS/VE3KU, or Ken Oelke VE6AFO.
