Station Ops Update

December 26, 2003:   The Christmas season and particularly a bout with illness has cut deeply into expected operations with the VC3F call sign.  However, we plan to operate as much as possible between now and the end of the month (which is when the call sign authorization expires), including tomorrow from 0000Z to 2359Z December 27, 2003, during the annual Radio Amateurs of Canada Winter Contest.  Please look for us.

Just a reminder: a self-addressed, stamped envelope (SASE) is REQUIRED in order for us to send you a QSL card.  If you don't have the appropriate Canadian postage to put on the envelope, please use an IRC or one U.S. "green stamp".  Thank you.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

December 27, 2003 0100Z : VC3F is currently working the RAC Winter Contest on 20M SSB.  The band is up and down.

December 27, 2003 1457Z: VC3F is currently working the RAC Winter Contest on 15M SSB.  The band seems quite good.  We plan to QSY to 10M SSB, 40M SSB and, if conditions allow, 6M fone today.  Then, we'll be back to 20M SSB.  We also hope to work CW on most of these same bands for short periods of time.

        December 27, 2003, 1840Z: VC3F now on 40M SSB.

        December 27, 2003, 2020Z: VC3F now on 10M SSB.

        December 27, 2003, 2305Z: VC3F now on 40M SSB.

December 27, 2003, 2359Z.  Contest Fini!  Thanks to all who contacted us during the contest.  VC3F will still be active until the end of this month.  Please look for us!!

December 31, 2003, 2222Z. Final hours of operation.  We will be on 10M, 20M and 80M, in that order.

December 31, 2359Z.  Special event is finished!  Many thanks to all who tried to work us and who actually did so.  All things considered, I believe the event was a success and worth the effort.  QSL cards are being processed and sent out as yours are received.  Please be patient.  If we receive a QSL or SWL report from you, along with a SASE or equivalent, you WILL receive the special event card in return.

        Happy New Year!
