I am located in Gananoque Ontario Canada. Here are some pictures of my town. I enjoy 17, 20 and 80 meters the most. I currently run a Kenwood TS-440 SAT and a homebrew G5RV antenna at 40 feet. The G5RV is set at about 110 degrees instead of 180 degrees to give me a little gain towards the East (Europe and Africa). On my eastern tower I have a 3 element 3+3 Star10 meter beam made by Jo-Gunn set at about 35 feet for 10 meters should the band ever open back up again. The Jo-Gunn antenna is connected to a Uniden HR-2600 (modified for 50 watt output) dedicated to 10 meters. The base is also equipped with 2 meters and 440 MHz with antennas set at 45 feet atop my western tower . If you look carefully at the tower pictures you can see my G5RV between the two towers. My mobile is currently equipped with only 2 meter and/or 440 gear for local nets and rag chewing to and from work. Thanks for visiting my site. Best of luck DX'ing and see you on the bands. I prefer to use eQSL to log and exchange contacts. However if you really need a QSL card from Ontario, Canada please let me know and I'll send one off in the mail. I am also a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. If you are a Knight or interested in the Knights, try the Knights of Columbus net on Saturdays. More info is here. 73's from Ontario, Canada de VA3BOO Joe |
