Attachments: SimplePSPartsList.xls; IMG_0509.jpg; IMG_0510.jpg Attention Mr Dave Symonds Hi Dave, As briefly discussed previously, attached please find an Excel spreadsheet detailing the parts to be sourced for a power supply project for the members of Adelaide Hills Amateur Radio Society. It is our hope that this project will be assembled using some of the facilities available at your excellent city location. It is also our hope that we can use this project to rope in youngsters into electronics (and perhaps ham radio later) via a schools physics program and so the whole thing has been very carefully engineered to go together with minimum tools and fuss, and at minimum cost. I have no real idea of the ultimate demand for such a kit but would appreciate the use of your sharpest pencil on the parts list. My guess is that we will be initially ordering some 30 kits for AHARS members. The kit is a true laboratory grade dual power supply with extensive protection, providing 5 volts at 1 amp for logic and microprocessor experimentation, together with zero to 15 volts at 800mA for op. amp, timer, stepper motor driving, EEPROM programming etc etc. Hum and ripple are well under 2mV RMS on both supplies and regulation is excellent. I believe the design to be very cost effective and hence highly marketable, particularly to secondary schools.
