BlakPak Modem

View of the BlakPak modem

AAPRA has developed a "simple" 1200 bps modem to fill the gap left by the very popular but now discontinued CASSPAK modem. The BLAKPAK design is fully approved by the BayCom team in Germany and engineered by the Auckland VHF Group in New Zealand.

The BLAKPAK modem is housed in a small black mini-box case measuring 83mm by 54mm by 28mm. At one end is the DB9 socket for connection to the computer COM port and at the other the 5 pin DIN socket for connection to the radio. The modem is assembled and fully tested "on air" by AAPRA and is supplied, together with 5 pin DIN plug, an excellent manual, which includes a full circuit description, a brief history of packet radio and cable connections for several popular radios, for just $85 including postage and packing.

Note that this item is currently out of stock.
