The first attempt

 

During august-september 2002 I built my E-H antenna for 20m band, as shown at Pic_1 [ 1 ].


The antenna is built on a 50mm diameter polypropilene Pipe. The length of cylinder is 160mm. The material for cylinders are the tin cans for condensed milk. The coil consist of 14 turns 1.2mm copper wire on 30mm length. There is some distance between the turns, that’s good for tuning the coil for a band. The 2 turns link 2.0mm copper wire is below the main coil. The antenna replaced 3 meter above the roof of  9-storeys building. I use the 75 Ohm cable as a coupling line, home made transceiver and PA with parameters : U0 = 1200V, I0 = 0.5A.
