If you run or plan to run a FBB BBS and have a PTC-IIe and you want to add the built-in scanning feature from FBB (or Other) why not use an external device to capture the command data sent by the BBS Software on the RS-232 port between the Computer and the PTC-IIe, process them and then send them to the tranceiver. That could be done with a PIC and a MAX232. The Data would be fed to the MAX232 In-port and after processing they would be sent to the tranceiver either at TTL level or RS-232 level by using the Out-Port of the MAX232. The PIC would then be simply an interpretor of the command set adressed to the supposed to be PTC-II. Anyone skilled in PIC programming interested ?? Let us know !!!
